Full procedure Register a newspaper, magazine or website

A periodical published more than once a year, in print or as a website, registered with the Department of Public Information before its first issue.

Every newspaper, magazine and bulletin published more than once a year, and every website that publishes news, is registered with the Department of Public Information before its first issue, under Department of Public Information Regulation No. 12. The founder is a registered firm or association; the certificate is issued for a title, a language and a frequency. Each issue is then delivered to the Department and to the State Archives under the Legal Deposit Act. Registration may be suspended by the Department; a suspended title stays on the register and may not be used by another periodical.
