Full procedure Bring a pet dog or cat from abroad

A dog or cat brought in by its owner from abroad, by road through Chu Gate or Dostuk, to live with the owner in the ISEZ.

A companion animal comes in with its owner or within five days of the owner, no more than two animals per person a year. Before travel the animal is microchipped (ISO 11784/11785), then vaccinated against rabies at least 21 days before entry, and its rabies antibody titre is tested on blood taken at least 30 days after the vaccination. The permit of the State Veterinary Inspectorate names the crossing. After 14 days of quarantine the animal is vaccinated again in the ISEZ for the current year, and a dog is registered with Tazalık on Form TZ-61. Animals for sale, breeding or shows are goods of animal origin and are not covered here.
